Simon is largely well intentioned, I’d like to believe- but he’s also extremely naive, uneducated about women’s actual life experiences, and feminism in general. He has a lot of baggage that he wants to throw on top, which involves telling women how to be less offensive and more palatable to men. This makes me want to vomit and also rage because it’s so predictable. Women are only acceptable when they are small, quiet, demure, and non confrontational. Fuck that. He can kiss my ass because men like him aren’t actual allies, they are wolves in sheep’s clothing keeping women down. They can fuck right off as far as I’m concerned. Guys like you who are open minded and open hearted and are actually trying from a place of good faith are what we need more of.
