Slavery helped to "fully develop the contemporary world" as well. That doesn't mean it's an acceptable or positive concept. And I haven't said that you are frothing at the mouth, although I have encountered guys who are and earlier in our exchange about this you did a lot of typing in caps and saying things that weren't quite on point or very logical.

The fact that something has gone before is irrelevant to what is possible in the future. I give you slavery again as an example. And a mere 50 years ago, women and Black people were second class citizens by law. While there is still plenty of room for improvement, the fact that is no longer the case demonstrates clearly that these sorts of dominance hierarchies are not infallible - or as previously demonstrated to you - remotely necessary. I'll remind you that companies that are moving away from them are the ones with the best bottom lines. There are other systems doing better right now as we speak - today. It's not a question of if...

But at the same time, those systems are being subverted or ignored at times when they appear in our culture, even when they make more money and keep employee retention higher. But, there's also a huge push-back against that because some men love patriarchy even more than they love money or success. So no, a better system won't automatically arise on it's own, just like a society where Black people were full citizens didn't automatically arise on it's own because it was saner or healthier or better for the economy. Don't be so naive.... A patriarchal dominance hierarchy is essentially the maintenance of traditional power by coercion and intimidation. It's the root of not just disparity in gender power, but also the root of police brutality, racism, homophobia, ableism, rape culture - you name it. Any sort of institutionalized social ill is rooted in this sort of dysfunctional power hierarchy. Trying to act like it's not so bad, or that we somehow need it is just you participating in patriarchy trying to justify itself. OK, so it is....

You haven't given me any remotely rational reason for continually defending patriarchal dominance hierarchies and the entirely toxic demands that they make on men and I don't think you will, because I don't believe you know why you feel the need to do so. Fair enough. I'm content to leave it at that, although I'll (obviously) keep probing this with other people.

Take care.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
