SMH! Such a tired old narrative. Are you uninformed about the part that women are playing in the defense of Ukraine? Besides the 30,000 who are in the army, Ukrainian women are fighting the Russians in a variety of other ways. Even in eras where women were specifically prohibited from serving in combat, women have always participated in wars and in national defense in other ways. Over sixteen hundred female nurses received various decorations for courage under fire in WWII alone. WACS and WAVES signed up for the duration of the war plus six months. They flew supply missions (some were shot down) and drove trucks near the front lines.
Have you never heard of the Russian Night Witches of WWII? This highly feared and highly decorated regiment of female pilots flew bombing sorties in wood-and-canvas Polikarpov U-2 biplanes, a 1928 design intended for use as training aircraft. Despite being given substandard equipment and little respect by male pilots, the regiment flew over 23,000 sorties, dropping over 3,000 tons of bombs and 26,000 incendiary shells. This regiment was comprised of volunteers in their late teens and early 20s. Because they flew so low, the planes did not initially have parachutes. The Germans were terrified of them.

Women are widely considered to be better snipers, because they have more patience and better accuracy. I'm a pretty good shot. If I had little kids, I might be trying to get them to safety, but my son is 24, so I don't need to protect him although mama bears are some of the fiercest animals alive. If someone is threatening me, my family, or my homeland, I will be there defending it, just like millions of other women throughout history.
