So many platitudes that have been thrown at you and other single women are I think for the purposes of feeling superior, as well as for the purposes of not having to "manage their own store" as Byron Katie puts it. It's so much easier to turn your attention outward so that you don't have to deal with what's going on within. If you can make money doing this, all the better... 😉
