So, you're basically saying that we should bend to the pressures of the culture, even if it's killing men? I really don't think that's what you mean to say. There are Yin traits and there are Yang ones, and although we are all a blend, most men probably have more Yang traits. Nothing wrong with that at all. But there's a difference between acknowleging that sometimes people are violent, or competitive, or aggressive, and codifying that as an acceptable part of the social system.

Sun Tzu famously said, "The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting." There's a big difference between being strong enough and trained enough to fight if you need to and normalizing that as the go-to way to solve differences - and shaming men who don't want to jump to that as a way to demonstrate their masculinity.

Masculinity is not being erased. Yang traits are not being discouraged. Harmful, damaging, toxic traits are being called into question and shown for what they truly are - not a fundamental aspect of maleness, but a polluted, distorted set of demands on men that don't actually serve society and don't actually serve men either. In fact, they demonstrably harm them.

People should be allowed to be who they actually are - what ever blend of Yin and Yang feels right to them, not forced into some box of culturally expected roles. There's no real defense for that. It doesn't add anything except that individuals don't have to then actually find their own way because they can plug into other people's expectations. And, it causes an awful lot of misery and death. I'm kind of shocked that a Libertarian would advocate for letting society apply "guidance and control" as a good thing, or even an acceptable thing rather than encouraging individuals to find and make their own way as serves their own needs.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
