Some of the comments were on point - such as about serving size in restaurants and too much processed food, but some of it was just silly - such as "endless meat and bread with lettuce as just a garnish." Americans love salads and unless you're eating in a fast food place, salads and vegetables are on just about every menu. The one about salt added to desserts was just stupid. Clearly, that's not someone who actually cooks.
For a while we were obsessed with watching clips of British kids trying American foods, such as Southern fried chicken, biscuits and gravy or tacos and other Tex-Mex or BBQ. Overwhelmingly, they were pleasantly surprised - perhaps because British food tends to be bland. They really loved a lot of it.
America has a lot of different food traditions - including from German, Italian, and Hispanic immigrants. I think that keeps things interesting.
