Stuck in a closet is not remotely the same thing as coming across one in the woods. Nobody said anything about close quarters. You're changing the metrics because you have some perverse pick me girl idea that men are being treated unfairly.
The question is related to coming across either a bear or a man you don't know while alone in the woods. As already repeatedly demonstrated with statistics and statements from wildlife experts, while a bear is in fact potentially a very dangerous animal, it almost never attacks a human unprovoked. On the other hand, men attack women unprovoked all the time when they come across them alone - out of a hike, on a jog, camping, etc. Some men even go looking for women alone in those circumstances with the sole intent of harming them.
It doesn't matter that most men wouldn't do that. You have no idea as a woman who would do that. It's not as though predators have long curling mustaches and black hats on, so better to avoid all men you don't know while alone in the woods, because enough of them would do it to make it a much more dangerous proposition than coming across a bear.
This is just sheer practicality.
Honestly, I don't have any more time for this nonsense.
