Because I was once a young woman who was friends with other young women, and none of us really ever wanted Chad. There were girls who did, but they were a comparatively small percentage. The fact that you reference "beta men" indicates to me that your brain has been poisoned into believing such nonesense by PUAs or other silly males who believe in the whole "alpha" thing - which doesn't actually exist in humans. In other primates there is only one alpha for the entire community. In wolves, the alpha male (who may not even be the overall leader of the pack - it might be the alpha female) is the daddy of the pack. He and the alpha female care for a pack made up of their offspring. In nature, being an alpha means the one who has some status, but who also has the responsibility to care for everyone else. This doesn't translate into PUA ideas about human alphas and betas - because it's an invented construct. I advise you to stop thinking in those terms since it is both fallacious and counter-productive.

If you are basing your ideas about what women want on Tinder or other dating apps, your perception will be skewed by the fact that men outnumber women 9 to 1, so of course, a large percentage of guys are not getting much attention due to simple supply and demand. But not everyone meets that way. Just look around and you will notice all sorts of people paired up - all different levels of conventional attractiveness, all socio-economic levels, etc. If most women wanted a Chad, the species would have died out by now. What you are saying doesn't make actual sense, I'm sorry to say. And, it doesn't meet my real-world experience of growing up female and knowing a lot of other young women.
