Thank you for having the courage to write this. I resonated with so much of it and have been toying with the idea of telling my own story, although I’m still actively working with the attachment wound. But perhaps now, I’ll feel up to it. There have been many times when I have thought that it would have been better to have not been born rather than to have experienced that primal trauma. I love my adoptive family and I’ve had a pretty good life, but this doesn’t mean that it wasn’t still a horrendous thing. I appreciate you starting this conversation.
