Thank you so much for writing about this. Mainstream trauma therapy is finally beginning to realize that trauma does in fact reside in the body and that talk therapy alone may not be beneficial or may even retrigger the person.
I've been doing some of this kind of body-based healing work on myself recently, not only releasing trauma stored in various places in my soma but learning to reset my limbic system. A friend told me about polyvagal work, and after looking at a few possibilities I hit on a course that meets my needs. It's been challenging at times, even though the exercises are very gentle, but also immensely beneficial. Blessings on your continued journey of healing.
