Thanks! All human movements are made up of human beings - that means they are inherently flawed and imperfect. And, that being said, there are also decades of women's experiences with men wanting to be feminist allies and then coming in and taking over, telling women what is best for them and otherwise White Knighting the situation. I can certainly understand how and why certain women or certain organizations are leery about male involvement.
As a financially secure white woman, I know that my job as an ally to other marginalized people whose experiences I have never had is to listen, learn from them, and ask them how they wish to be supported. Maybe some of them don't want me at all - and that's fine too, because they too undoubtedly have had bad experiences with well-meaning "helpers" with good intentions.
Don't take it personally if some women don't embrace your desire for equity and solidarity. It's not about you. Just keep holding out for a better world and doing what you can to bring it about.
