Thanks and that's interesting, although somewhat sad to hear. Americans tend to be very oriented towards individualism so they naturally believe that it has a huge impact. Although it certainly helps to not be actively contributing to harm, just staying out of it really only helps the perpetrators and aggressors.

I think your individualism only really has an impact when you are using it to foster larger change. Maybe a future piece on that in the future.
