Thanks for perfectly illustrating my point. Talking about the real things that are of real concern is seen as muddying the waters — which is why anyone who does so is treated as a heretic. As a society we are willing to sacrifice other people’s lives and health so as to not have to muddy the waters……….Until it becomes your child that is harmed, your health that is impacted, people like you don’t actually care.

We want to believe in the perfect safety and efficacy of all vaccines, of the infallible benefit to all, because that is simpler and easier. As I said in my original comment, they work well for most people, most of the time — but not universally. Otherwise we wouldn’t need to have a Federal Vaccine Injury Compensation program. Otherwise we wouldn’t have measles outbreaks in places where 90% of the population is vaccinated, otherwise we wouldn’t have increasing flu deaths despite an aggressive campaign for flu shots.

It you want to close your eyes and ears and pretend everything is fine, that’s your choice, but it’s not what I want.
