Thanks for sharing that. I was speaking purely of my own experience but I do think that physical presence and confident energy is what’s really in play rather than actual attributes. I once had a waiter say to me, my friend, and her 16-year-old son who was very clearly a boy even though he had long hair and a gentle demeanor, “What can I get you ladies?”

A few years ago I dressed as Batgirl for Halloween, with a vinyl bustier, and high heeled boots. My husband dressed as Robin. You wouldn’t believe how many men referred to me as Batman!
