Thanks for sharing that, and no, I wasn't previously familiar with that theory. It seems to have some similarities but also some differences, in that I don't believe that actual hatred or lack of belief in the humanity of Black people is at the root of misnoir. It's more about a subconscious belief in a social hierarchy where certain people have certain slots and roles within it. Still, I'm always happy to learn something new.
