Thanks for the shout-out and a good piece about an important topic. 85% of American girls say they started getting sexually harassed before the age of 17 - many of them at 9 or 10 years old. If you look at the #FirstHarassed thread on X, you'll find tens of thousands of women talking about their first experiences - typically where adult men catcalled them or made lewd comments when they were just walking home or doing some other innocuous activity. You'll also find hundreds of men complaining about the thread - acting as if it were no big deal, or that this stuff is invented.
Unfortunately, your "experiment" would probably reveal that 8 or 9 out of 10 women you asked were first inappropriately touched and most definitely inappropriately talked about in childhood. This is one of the most common, most obvious, "other men are turning a blind eye" things that we could impact as a culture if we really wanted to. But first, a bunch of guys would have to give up their belief that this is what women are for, and actually see and treat them as people.
