Thanks for the shout out, and Yes! to all of this. Egalitarian cultures are that way because they collectively do not value nor tolerate domineering and abusive behavior. They don't rely on one other "tough guy" to stand up to bullies, they do it as a group. Might Makes Right patriarchal dominance hierarchies want Chuck Norris to come in and save the day, but that's just more of the same BS.

Women need to do their part in not expecting men to act this way, but men need to lead the way in changing the norms of masculinity to no longer be about aggression, domination, and control - and we need to take care for each other and not pour drinks on those who are trying to help others (WTF?).
