Thanks for this thoughtful and intelligent essay. I wish the so called manosphere offered more guys actual support without the hatred and misogyny. I appreciate that you drew the line at that. I read this book 5 or 6 pages at a time because it was so gut-wrenching to learn about the very well-documented hatred of women and growing advocations of rape and other violence. Targeting young boys to this is even more disgusting. One of the toughest parts was Bates describing speaking about being raped to a group of young teens at a school and the boys scoffing, telling her she was lying, and otherwise mocking her experience. These young boys had already been taught to dehumanize women and they weren't even of dating age yet. It was extremely disturbing. Glad that guys like you are out there trying to support men in a positive way.
