Thanks for your comment and I agree that a lot of the women (and men) who act in porn come from abuse and dysfunction in their past and then find more of the same in the world of porn. I haven’t read all of Jenna Jameson’s book, How To Make Love Life A Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale, just excepts, but this is pretty much what she has to say. So, yes it’s a choice to go that route but if it resonates with all you’ve ever known and seems like an easy way to make money, some will go there. But most women only stay in the industry an average of 3 years and make about $800 per scene. It’s hardly a get-rich-quick scheme.
Actual ethically made, sex-positive porn isn’t the bulk of what is out there. And yes, I agree that it harms people and society to consume the kinds that aren’t this.
