In general, I tend to simply avoid him, but since he named me, and attributed things to me that I didn't say (and put forth a bunch of misinformation about a topic I care about) I felt like I had to respond. Hoping to go back to greater distance after this. There are times when we've gotten along and even been collegial, but then there's something like this....
