Thanks - I think it started with people kind of cutting me out of their lives or their programs by making them untenable for me to stay in (I had a couple of experiences that were organizational) and I realized once I got through the hurt that it was for the best in the end. Looking at it philosophically, I could see how this actually benefited me and set me on a new and better trajectory although the first few times it took the universe kind of bludgeoning me in the head with a metaphorical 2x4 before I listened - because loyalty. Then I got a bit better after that at realizing it was OK for people to walk away or for me to take a bunch of steps back from them. It's still not my preference, but I do also see how it makes room for more of my own path when that happens.
