Thanks! I was talking to my husband about this before I wrote it and he's the one who used the term "the Golden Rule." If a guy would just think about how he'd feel in the other person's shoes, it would help a lot. Of course, some guys will say they'd love it if women came up to them all day and tried to get with them, but the truth is, they wouldn't want women they mostly weren't interested in doing that, and even people who might be attractive in other circumstances are not if you are busy, and just trying to move through your day. I honestly thought that the belief that women exist for the pleasure and enjoyment of men would have gotten better since the 1970s, but decades of hook-up culture and ubiquitous porn combined with people spending all their time on line so they have no social skills has only made it worse, I think.

Thanks for your continued efforts to educate guys about this. That is absolutely what men can do to make things better, not just for women, but for young men as well.
