Thanks so much for sharing all of this. I used to primarily blame men as a gender because I’ve suffered a lot of stuff at the hands of men, but the more I learned, the more I saw how this social system hurts them too. Then I learned about other cultures that live very differently and became even more convinced. We’re such an individualistic society that it’s hard for a lot of people including many feminists to see the larger social structure as the real problem.
