Thanks. This sort of "I didn't do it" is a deflection but it's also a part of the problem. Mainstream masculinity does have certain properties and qualities, many of which are harmful to men - and to everyone else. It's not enough to somehow evade their subconscious power (since we're all steeped in our gender indoctrination), staying silent and not challenging those norms is also what allows the problematic aspects to continue unchecked. My philosophy these days is, "You're either a part of the solution, or you are a part of the problem." The culture gets maintained by silence and inaction just as much as it does by words and actions.
