That wasn't what I took from that article at all, that women have to change. I saw some very valid points about being able to be in sports competitions, other important things like taking the SATs and combat without the additional worry of having your period at the same time. I also think the point about poor women often not having access to supplies is really poignant, as well as reducing plastic in the landfills.

It's believed that prehistoric women menstruated about 4 times a year, so it's not necessarily disrupting "the way it's meant to be."

As with so many things, there's room for more than one thing to be going on at a time. I certainly support destigmatizing periods but at the same time support girls and women being able to have more choice around their own bodies if that can be done safely.
