That’s an interesting theory, but one that is most definitely in the minority. Most scientists consider the propagation of the species and the continuation of one’s genes to be an undeniable biological imperative, albeit not a conscious one. Salmon don’t struggle to swim upstream to their original spawning grounds for the fun of it. Still, this theory is something I wouldn’t mind learning more about.
