That's because it's what our society has taught us to do. It's not human nature - in fact human nature is exactly the opposite simply because we are such a social species.

This sort of behavior is only 6-9 thousand years old. When impulses to be selfish arose in the past, they were censured by the group, because taking care of the whole community was a primary survival strategy. I've written about this a lot, and have the science to prove what I'm saying, so I'm not going to continue to debate you here because you don't seem interested in what I have to say. These are known sociological and scientific models that I'm talking about but you've already made up your mind.

If you’d bothered to read what I’ve linked to you, it would have sunk in already that partnership style organizational structures are all the rage in business right now. It’s not just a pipe dream — real companies are doing this, not because it’s nicer, but because it’s a lot more agile.

“In some of the most successful start-ups and even large organizations that have evolved, you can visibly see greater levels of delegation and decision making at all levels. Leaders focus on guiding and communicating the vision, leading large client projects and finding new ways to develop their staff. Managers are taking on more leadership responsibilities and pass increasing amounts of responsibility to junior employees.” Forbes

And if you don’t think that patriarchy is a zero-sum construct, you may want to re-examine how you’ve been interacting with me.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
