That’s not human nature — it’s socialization. For 97% of human history people didn’t have monogamy. It’s only with the advent of patriarchy, which came about with the advent of agriculture (and increased personal property, land, belongings) that this time of jealousy and possessiveness began.

There are current cultures that don’t practice monogamy— so truly not a part of human nature inherently.
