That’s very sweet and much appreciated. The Pilates class was just what I needed to get started moving again and I did a more strenuous class a few days later. The sun has come out and that helps a lot.
Yes, it definitely takes a village. We are very grateful that Hugh’s caregiver has become like a part of our family and her kids are now like my son’s cousins — something he doesn’t have otherwise. Our friend Jenny, who is still in her early 30s, and who will take care of Hugh once we have passed on, is another one. She has her own young kids, one who also has some health issues much more severe than Hugh’s, but she loves Hugh like her own and he loves her. She comes to visit about twice a year, and one of those is around my birthday so that we can go away for a few days. Without them, life would be more difficult and not nearly as rich. Our village is small, but it’s inhabitants are of very high quality! 😉
