The Chinese identified it more than 5k years ago. They called it Yin. Masculine energy is known as Yang. All humans have both within them in differing and individual blends - because it has nothing whatsoever to do with maleness or femininity - it's about differing types of energy.

I don’t know what “unisex energy” even means unless it refers to the taijitu, the black and white Yin/Yang symbol where both are intertwined and interdependent in a way that creates wholeness. ☯︎
