The English (and all cultures that stem from Abrahamic religions) certainly do a bang-up job of embodying the dominance hierarchy systems but those arose for the first time around 5k years ago - long before there was an England.

bell hooks and others talk about captialist, white supremacist, patriarchy as all being aspects of the same dominance system. I don't think she's wrong. British colonialism certainly was an example of all three working together.
