The fact that you think men who don't believe in rape (Apaches, for example???) are weak and pacifist says a whole lot about you and nothing at all about those cultures. Talk about pathetic…. The real truth is, in egalitarian cultures men have a lot more sex, live longer, and have much greater levels of happiness. Japan is not remotely an egalitarian culture. And no, women are not more worried about rape in "bad neighborhoods." 85% of rapes are perpetrated by men that the women have in their regular world - their dates and partners, their bosses and co-workers, their fathers and brothers.
Yes, we do know that rape is about domination. The fact that YOU don't know that, means nothing. People who study it have known for decades. And actually, Muslim countries have an extremely high level of rape. Stop pretending you are a social scientist who knows more about this stuff than an actual social scientist. Your presumptions are way off base.
