The first thing I thought of when I saw the headline was Neil Gaiman’s short story of the same name. See, just like you said, women read Neil Gaiman too. 😉

I actually once heard a pickup artist say that you should never ask a woman a question you don’t care about the answer to. In other words, ask her things that actually help you to get to know her in a meaningful way. That’s how you get her to go home with you. But I like your advice better, that a conversation should not have an end game. It’s to have a conversation and get to know each other better.
