The only scientific way to measure emotions is to track the reaction to them. Some studies have shown men reacting to emotional stimuli in a more pronounced way than women, so they are potentially more inherently emotional. But also, they tend to behave in more emotional ways at times because their feelings are so disavowed that they are running that person from behind the scenes like a puppet. So yes, it’s two separate things, and yes, for both of them, men are the more emotional if you are making a gender generalization. Obviously, it’s a continuum and not a total binary.
