If Trump wins, 90% of the things voters imagine he's going to give them or do for them are NOT going to happen, and there will be a whole lot of stuff they don't actually want. But, even that probably won't break the spell. People vote based on their emotions, not on rational dissection of the facts. This has always been true, but even more so these days.
