The population of earth is nearly 8 Billion. I don't think we need to worry about the species going extinct from falling birth rates. It's just that we've built our economy on an ever expanding population and are probably going to have to rethink that - which is very likely a good thing.

Humans are a highly social species where it is in our best interests to bond with each other - in physical and non-physical ways. The times I've had group sex have truly confirmed that for me, and I really get why bonobos use it for so many social functions other than just procreation. Patriarchy but the kibosh on all of that, and we're still under it's sway, but in the end, yes, love and sex do still matter. At least that's what I believe. 💖
