The problem is this, however, close to half the country subscribes to a values system that is based in hierarchy and that sees that as right, natural, and to some extent moral. They'd probably say that respect is earned, not given for free. This is what Donald Trump stands for, and even though it's about all he stands for, he has a strong, and at times rabid following. They don't want the end of hierarchy, and they are willing to march on Washington to make that clear.
