The question is irrelevant - because almost EVERY woman has been harmed by men acting out mainstream norms of masculinity in this culture - over and over and over again since they were young children. We live in a violent rape culture where sexual predation is on the same continuum as normal heterosexual sex, and where men routinely not only turn a blind eye to the harm done to women (and to other men) but they often actually encourage the behaviors in each other that lead to this sort of violent rape culture. Harm isn't done by "bad apples" - it's done by your friends, brothers, fishing buddies, uncles, fathers, bosses, and neighbors acting on mainstream norms of masculinity.
If you aren't contributing to changing the norms of this culture, you are participating in maintaining and upholding them and that's make you culpable.
As holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel said, “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”
If you aren't a part of the solution, you are a part of the problem. Quit your whining and do something constructive.
