The Silver Fox scenario wasn't rape, but men are still very much socialized to believe that women exist for their pleasure and enjoyment. Combine that with the fact that it takes most women until their 40s to really come out from under all the bullshit they have been socialized to think, and believe, and real life is not quite so simple as you'd have us believe. Acting like 18 year olds should understand the implications of their actions is a huge joke. You are clearly not a parent or have any real understanding of the neuroscience around this. The rational part of our brains is not fully formed until we're 25. Prior to that time we are primarily processing information with the amygdala and not the prefrontal cortex. Saying it should be different than that won't make it so.
Age differences aren't necessarily a red flag or a sign of predation - but on the other hand, there are plenty of men out there who want a woman they can control (bc you're a pussy if you can't control your woman). 1 in 16 American women say their first sexual experience was forced and half of those were by a man who was older.

We live in a dominance based hierarchy culture, and pretending that it's all a level playing field is just that - pretending. We should absolutely keep teaching women to stand up for themselves - although as of right now that can be very dangerous. Women get hurt and killed for saying "No" often enough for it to be of real concern. They get punished for it in other ways as well, with other sorts of retaliation. Just ask the women who said no to Les Moonves advances.
There's a big difference between how the world should be and how it actually is. We should absolutely keep trying to create one where there is a more level playing field and people are all empowered to stand up for themselves - but we live in a dominance hierarchy so I don't see that actually happening anytime soon.
