The term "toxic masculinity" means stereotypically masculine traits taken to an unhealthy extreme - and yes, those box in and harm men too. It doesn't mean that maleness or masculinity are inherently toxic, although in an androcentric culture like ours, men do still have privilege. Economic privilege is another factor in the patriarchal dominance hierarchy (along with class, education, religion, gender, race, etc., etc.) It's possible to have privilege in one area and oppression in another.

Black men accused of rape get the book thrown at them while the Brock Turners of the world get a couple months because we wouldn't want to "ruin" their promising lives.
