The way that masculinity is currently constructed, it's a constant competition for status and "real man" cred. Having more places where guys can connect with each other that is NOT that is absolutely what it's going to take to shift the culture for the better. These places do already exist in a lot of cities but you have to be far enough along to be able to break out of feelings that this is somehow uncool to even look for them.
