The woman who wrote the mega-hit book Lessons In Chemistry about a female chemist trying to get taken seriously in the 1950s began her first draft on the heels of a scientific meeting where she was talked over and her ideas were dismissed, only to immediately have credit taken for them by another man in the meeting and then applauded. She's definitely had the last laugh since that book is humongous and spawned a TV miniseries as well, but in this day and age, women shouldn't still be having to deal with that kind of treatment.
We definitely all belong at the adult table! Such an important and well supported piece!
