Their "standards" are to take advantage of women from poor countries. In a "traditional" relationship, men provide and women caretend, but overwhelmingly, these guys can't afford to uphold their end of the bargain - they just want to be catered to, and be deferred to because they are too weak to have a real relationship without actually doing their part. They overwhelmingly are not providing for their wives - because most guys in their 20s and 30s can barely support themselves - much less a wife and kids too. This is the entire point.
