There are 6 modern matrilineal cultures and many more that are patrilineal but not patriarchal, including Denmark which has the 10th largest economy in the world, demonstrating that you don’t have to live in rural South America or Africa to make a non- patriarchal system work. However, the thesis of this story is that the Standard Model of Evolutuon has a lot of holes in it not that we should try to live like H-Gs. I’m dispelling myths here- that cavemen were macho “providers” and that physical attractiveness has much to do with reproductive fitness. That’s the purpose of this piece.
