There is nothing wrong with men but masculinity as it is currently constructed in this culture is single-handedly responsible for 90% of the violence, crime, rape, misogyny, and other social dysfunction of various kinds. Pretending that isn't so is fragile. Acting like it's crazy to acknowledge that is what is truly crazy.
Sure, take men out of dominance hierarchies and they are totally different - but that isn't what we have to deal with in most Western democracies. Masculinity in Western cultures is ABSOLUTELY the problem. Trying to pretend it isn't is delusional.
Men need to correct their own "interiority" because it's fucking problematic - both for men and for everyone else.
The American Psychological Association just issued new guidelines for working with men and boys that indicates after looking at 40 years of research that "traditional" masculinity is extremely harmful to males - and to everyone else. Stop acting like this is attacking men and face reality.
