There seems to be a great deal of projecting going on here in your comment. That's typical for when someone's emotions are activated but they don't have the goods to debate on a substantive level. But let me clear up a few things for you anyway.
Evolutionary psychology looks at the world (over time and in all cultures) from a modern Western perspective and makes assumptions about all of human history through that lens. My response to that is to talk about our ancient ancestors from all over the world and different more contemporary cultures such as Mosuo of China, the Montagnais Indians, and how beauty standards are different all over the world and at different time periods. In other words, the exact opposite of what you are claiming.
Too much science that you can't refute feels like pathos to you because it makes you sad to have your dearly held beliefs eviscerated and shown to be a sham. Plus, I’m not sure why the measured recitation of one debunking fact after another is a problem for you. Perhaps because it elicits so much emotion in you. More projection…
People who can't support their position always accuse others of cherry picking. It’s not my fault that you’ve never bothered to actually investigate any of your “everyone knows” beliefs by checking them against cutting edge scientific thought. By all means, keep basing your views on fruit fly research from the 1940s. That sounds intelligent…
I'm doing great, thanks for asking - despite having to deal with specious, frivolous, non-substantive comments such as yours from time to time. I won't ask how you are, since it's readily apparent from your tone.
