Where’s your proof that men and women find a center and cluster on different sides of it? The only indications of that are entirely sociological. We know that because in different cultures, men and women do different things.
Being told where to stand is vastly different than gravitating towards it. Some men are lumberjacks and some are ballet dancers. Some women are mechanics and some are preschool teachers. Humanity is a giant continuum and by far the greatest determinant about what people gravitate towards is due to their socialization about what is appropriate for their gender.
