These comments are like a poster for the dominance hierarchy. Someone who is from the "lower ranks" is seen to be completely out of line for talking about the hardship of starting off in that place and of finding ways to make it to a better place. "Who does she think she is?" is just oozing from these comments. It would be comical if it weren't so mean and full of envy.
