They believe in things there is no reason to believe (Trump can magically improve the cost of goods) and won't believe the things they should (that he's a malignant narcissist who only cares about himself and his fellow rich white guy friends). Future candidates need to do a much better jump of speaking to what most people care about and sorting out the BS that seems to be appealing to the other side.
