They can disagree all they want, but they are flat out wrong. The first amendment (the second is about the right to bear arms) prevents the government from censoring your speech - except for all the ways that it legally can. Private companies and organizations can make absolutely any rules that they want to which limit speech in any way that they see fit - as long as it isn't an illegal/discriminatory reason. You have absolutely no right whatsoever to say whatever the hell you want to without consequences and it's absurd that anyone believes that they do.

"For example, although a police officer cannot arrest you for wearing a hat with a political statement on it, your boss may well have the right to fire you for it."
